5889

This year is full of beautiful things, soft colours, full of positivity and ancestral details

These will be the design styles that will prevail in what relates to interior design during of what’s left of 2018. Let see it one by one.

Natural Style (the one that stands out more)

The elements present in nature start to appear again in our home for a more modern décor and to fill our home with life. We will see all kinds of decorative items with this style, from tables to lamps and several other decorative elements.

This style stands out for its raw and rustic soul, clearly reflected in the untreated wood, intended to represent nature as it is, with no ornaments. Materials such as those eco-friendly, natural wood and fibre appear in this natural and rustic style. Two pieces are never alike, it’s the return the origins, to the craftsmanship, the imperfect is perfect and that is what we look for.

With this natural décor style, we look for a relationship with nature, so, letting the natural light in will make this sensation even bigger, chose some thin fabric curtains so you don’t miss not a single sun ray.

In the following Picture we can see a bathroom wiht this design, the shelves were designed in natural wood, the basquets are made of vime e even the small bench look like a shopped trunk. This is the essence of this style, the natural style.

Vegetal-tropical Style

With the heat coming back, the good weather, the joy of life, why not enjoy the moment and give your home a more vegetal style and fill your house with plants?

Last year it was possible to see the tropical style everywhere, but this year the tropical as suffered several changes and transformed into what is now called vegetable, in which the key is to fill all with plants and use item with vegetable elements. The green colour fills our house with a mist of freshness and exoticism. Let yourself go with the green! Do not be afraid to take a chance on green tones, you can match them with browns, oranges or blues, evocating each one the earth and ocean. Nature in our house!

The tropical style goes very well with the natural styel, you can say that both go hand in hand, being it as simple as the contact with nature, something achievable with a mixture of both.

Vintage Style

The vintage style is presented to us, year after year, always with variations, being in a constant evolution. This year it has a more romantic and French look and we will see it mixed with the most trendy colours: acqua blue, pale pink, light grey, …

Has we have previously mentioned, the highlight of the vintage aesthetics grows exponentially each year, improving and mixing with other trends on the spotlight. It can be seen along with the natural, the vegetable, the minimalist style,… everything goes and everything can be mixed when it comes of retro and vintage style.

Aplicam a estética de outra época apelando à nossa nostalgia.

This way of understanding decor is acquiring more followers every single day, they apply the aesthetics and décor from other decades in order to evoke the nostalgic feeling of past times. No one can resist to incorporate pieces from past seasons to give a more retro and vintage look to your house along with a tropical plant.

On the Picture below, we can see a Chesterfield sofá, a best-seller, specially the worn-leather one, that mix perfectly with a vegetable environment.

On the other Picture, we can see a romantic-vintage kitchen, with the aforementioned colours, highlighting the dust-pink on the sofa and wall, and the acqua-blue on the lamps and chairs.

Minimalist Style

The minimalist style as we know it, also suffers changes, as any other. Now it presents itself with a more sophisticated look, with touches of art-déco and also a more Scandinavian look due to its tones and simplicity.

The main colours are White, black and gold in very minimal and refined lines. The minimalism mixed with art-déco will give us a more charged room and filled with contrast, on the other hand, mixed with a more Scandinavian look that is more subtle and for all audiences.

On the following images we can see all this mix we have been mentioning, for example, the living room in the first photo (art-decó room with minimal touches) is styled with an art-decó lamp, some arm-chairs that remind us the Scandinavian style or its dusk pink colour and its embossed wall.

On the second photo, a minimalista style with scandinavian touches.

Minimalist Style

To sum up... we should make it clear that even though this are still the more highlighted decorative styles, nowadays, it’s the mixture that is décor, because as we have already seen, all styles with a little taste can be mixed amongst themselves and still maintaining the colour coherence, creating amazing divisions. Try it!
