This decoration trend consists in using few elements, in favor of functionality and sobriety. Here, the most important things are the more simple ítems, as you can see in our minimal collection

At the beginning, the Minimal had to deal with a society in which the main trend was represented by the Pop Art, a style emphatizing consumerism due to excessive decoration elements.  On the contrary, Minimal style wanted to give to those consumerist society a sense of peace and serenity.

Minimal style supporters believed that reducing all the decoration elements was the way to reach the happiness. In this way it is posible to create a more sparkling and relaxed environment, just with the necessary things and a very austere decoration: a bed, a table and a chair. No more shelves full of things and colorfull walls. Now the secret is : quality and not quantity.

Minimal style also helps to fight stress. We live in a Hiperconnection that creates the willing and the necessity to have clean and peaceful spaces. According to the functionality of elements, we have to leave apart useless decorative elements and give the right importance to what really worthes. Thanks to minimal style we can create simple spaces, without exaggerated ornamental details.

But for a perfect minimal style made of semplicity and elegance, we have to consider some advices.

Minimal style illumination

In matter of illumination, the best is the natural light: so open the Windows and put semi-transparent curtains to enjoy of the natural light. If it is not posible to have a natural light, a good option can be delicate lamps characterized by a lot of spotlights, like this black lamp, available in diferent colors.

Big mirrors are an other good element to create light and make the space bigger.  A clearly exampleis offered by this white mirror, very useful.

Minimal style includes few shelves and few cupboards, evoiding to  conserve useless objects. Forniture use to be linear, square and simple, but above all functional.

Our minimal shelves are perfect to collocate all stuff without saturate the entire space and decoration. In this way it is possible to create a more relaxed and spacious atmosphere.

Minimal style colors

The main colors for this kind of style are White, grey and blackNeutral, pure and monochromatic  colors are used to create a sense of luminosity and austerity.

Besides, this colors combined with materials such as wood, cement, maple, glass and stones can create a much more natural effect. A set of wooden boxes, for example, can produce a different touch in this peculiar decoration.

In order to create a unique atmosphere, it is very important to give a personal touch, such as using remarkable colors. The contrast between colors  is allowed in minimal style, but pay attention! Don’t exaggerate! We advice you top ut some color with decorative elements, like carpets or pillows.

Minimal style decoration

Minimal style decoration has its own importance. The secret consists in mixing all the elements in the right way, integrating them and trying to let them pass unperceived.

On the other hand, it is posible to use them to create an opposite effect. For example, using a bouquet of flowers or any other darker decoration, we can give to our room a sense of minimal style.

Minimal style materials

All the materials utilized in the minimal style are used to make the decoration more personal. Minimal style is plenty of flat and simple materials, especially used to create a natural efect. Among the materials the most common is wood and other rustic materials, ( flat cement, glass, steel, stones).

An other materials that helps to make the room clear and brilliant is the glass.  It can be used both as forniture and as decoration, including big windows and separes.

Aluminium and steel are very functional. They create a concept radically bound to minimal style, and for this special reason they never seem inadecuate in the general decoration of the house. They are perceived in small quantity in elements like copper clocks, or shelves and clothes-rack press.

The final result will be a very elegant but simple house, with a diffused sense of peace and harmony.  Everybody really wants to go home and relax in an appropriate environment. Create your personal, peaceful and brilliant room in which disconnect your mind once you finish your working-day.
